Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, date changes and refunds are handled for trips booked with ZaraTrips. Please read it before confirming a booking. (These are our standard terms; the exact terms for your trip will be confirmed in writing with your quote, and those will prevail.)

How to cancel

To cancel or change a confirmed booking, write to thezaratrips@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp at +91 95277 05538. The cancellation date is the date we receive your written request during business hours.

Cancellation charges

Because we block hotels, transport and permits in advance, the following charges apply to the total trip cost once a booking is confirmed:

  • 30 days or more before departure: full refund of the advance, less a small processing fee and any non-refundable amounts already paid to suppliers.
  • 15 to 29 days before departure: 50% of the trip cost is retained.
  • 7 to 14 days before departure: 75% of the trip cost is retained.
  • Less than 7 days before departure, or no-show: no refund (100% retained).

Non-refundable components

Some parts of a trip are non-refundable regardless of when you cancel, including confirmed flights, train tickets, visa fees, travel insurance, hotel advances on non-refundable rates, and wildlife-park safari permits (which are booked in your name and cannot be cancelled by the park). These amounts are deducted as actually charged by the supplier.

Date changes

Where possible, we are happy to move your dates instead of cancelling, subject to availability and any difference in season pricing or supplier change fees. One date change requested 15+ days before departure is normally accommodated without our own service fee.

If we or a supplier cancel

If a trip cannot run due to events beyond anyone's control (weather, natural events, strikes, government or park closures, etc.), we will offer a rescheduled date or a refund of recoverable amounts. Non-recoverable supplier costs may not be refundable, but we always work to minimise your loss.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 7 to 14 business days of confirmation. Bank or gateway timelines may add a few days.
